1307386 Electrocoating wires GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 3 Feb 1970 [27 Feb 1969] 5015/70 Heading C7B [Also in Divisions B2 and C3] A polyimide prepolymer coating can be electrodeposited on copper and aluminium wires by electrically energizing an aqueous solution of the ammonium salt of the prepolymer using the copper or aluminium wire as anode and a carbon cathode, by connecting the anode and cathode across a D.C. battery and allowing current to flow.
