Abstract
1,204,458. Vacuum switch. SIEMENS A.G. 16 June, 1969 [15 June, 1968], No. 30481/69. Heading H1N. A vacuum switch has an envelope comprising a central resilient metal part 1 with inwardly flanged ends 4, 4<SP>1</SP> to which are sealed glass or ceramic end caps 3 by means of fused glass-tometal joints. The corrugated metal part 1 as well as two rings 9, sealing the end caps 3 to contact carrying electrodes 7, 8, are of a nickel/ cobalt alloy. The flanges 4, 4<SP>1</SP> protect the joints.
