Abstract

1355027 Cable terminations KNAPSACK AG 27 Feb 1973 [2 March 1972] 9523/73 Heading H2E [Also in Division B2] A lead-in arrangement for the electrode conductor 1 of an electrostatic precipitator 3 comprises a duct 4; a sealing cup 12, 14 containing a sealing liquid 15 in its lower portion; an insulator 5, e.g. of quartz, quartz glass, or PTFE; an annular chamber 9 having apertures 11 through which steam, gas or vapour can be passed to clean the insulator 5; and a bellows 20 secured at its lower end to the chamber 9 and at its upper end to the conductor 1. Spring pressed elements 7 urge the chamber 9 against the insulator 5, elastic packing rings 6 being provided as shown.
