Abstract
1,204,457. Vacuum switches. SIEMENS A.G. 16 June, 1969 [15 June, 1968], No. 30480/69. Heading H1N. A vacuum switch has an envelope comprising a central resilient corrugated glass member 1 sealed to two metal end closure plates 2. The glass tube is about 1 mm. thick and is arranged to be unstressed with the contacts 4, 5 about 1 mm. apart; it is thus in compression when the contacts are closed.
