Abstract

1,201,836. Discharging pallets from a stack. W. G. ALLEN & SONS (TIPTON) Ltd. 2 May, 1969 [3 May, 1968], No. 20985/68. Heading B8S. A stack of pallets 27 to rest upon table 26 movably supported by scissors 28. Table 26 works in conjunction with fork 10 which is carried by carriage 13 moved along the rails 40, 41 by ram 30. Operation.-Carriage. 13 is moved rightwards by ram 30 to engage fork 10 in the corresponding pallet 27. Table 26 is then lowered whilst the rest of the pallets is supported by the fork 10, and deposits the bottom pallet on to chain conveyer 15 which conveys the pallet leftwards to the discharge conveyer 52. Table 25 is then raised to engage beneath the stack of the pallets and to take their weight. Fork 10 is then disengaged from the stack by moving the carriage 13 leftwards whilst the table 26 is lowered by the height of one pallet. The cycle then continues.
