Abstract

120,136. Robinson, E. S. & A., and Robinson. F. G. Dec. 8, 1917. Boxes &c. made from special blanks.-A box or case is made by folding a blank cut and scored as shown. The blank is folded on the vertical score lines to form a tube with front g, back h, and sides e, j, a part h<1> being fastened at j<1> by paste, &c. Extensions of the sides are diagonally scored at m and have ear-like lips o-cut free at o<1>, as shown. When these parts are folded down, and tuck-in parts p and overlapping parts r also are folded down, the lips o pass over and effectually overlap the free horizontal edges of the parts l<1>. The parts r may be pasted on to the parts p; or one portion of a part r may be turned inwards on to itself. The corners of the parts p are rounded, and recesses l<2> are provided to assist in the closing of the box-ends. The boxblank may be made in two parts joined together by flanges and stitching, &c.
