Abstract

1,200,526. 526. I.C. engine valve gear. MOTOMAK MOTORENBAU, MASCHINEN-UND WERKZEUGFABRIK KONSTRUKTIONEN G.m.b.H. Aug.30, 1968 [Sept.16, 1967], No.41644/68. Heading F1B. An hydraulic clearance adjusting element has an outer part 1 rigidly connected directly to a hollow push rod 13, e.g. by a force fit, and an inner part 2 adapted to co-operate with a valve rocker arm. A pressure chamber 9 defined between the parts 1 and 2 is connected to a chamber 4 in the inner part by a non-return valve 8. A sleeve 16 surrounding the outer part 1 defines a duct through which oil supplied through the push rod passes to the chamber 4. An inwardly projecting flange on the sleeve 16 is clamped between the push rod 13 and outer part 1.
