Abstract

1,196,712. Transformers. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. 31 May, 1968 [3 June, 1967], No. 26267/68. Heading H1T. An on-load transformer tap-changing switch comprises two main switching sections each divided into a plurality of series-connected component switches, as 1, 3 and 5, 7 respectively, change-over resistances 21, 23 and associated auxiliary switches 5, 7 in parallel with each component switch, linear or non-linear voltagedistributing resistance paths 9, 11 and 10, 12 for controlling the distribution of voltage between the component switches of each main switching section, and at least one switch as 13, 14 in each resistance path for preventing current flow along it which the associated main and auxiliary switches are open. The switches 13, 14 may be mechanically linked with the main switches to be operated in synchronism with them.
