Abstract
1,194,888. Copper alloys. OLIN CORP. Sept.15, 1967 [Sept. 26, 1966 (2)], No.39835/68. Divided out of 1,194,887. Heading C7A. A high conductivity Cu-base alloy consists, by weight, of Cr 0À1-2À5% P 0À01-0À5% B 0À001-0À25% Cu and impurities - balance. The alloy may be heat-treated as follows:- (a) heat at 700‹-975‹ C. for # ¢hr. and then hot-roll at 700‹-975‹ C., or hot-roll at >500‹ C. (preferably 700‹-975‹ C.), cool at any desired rate and then heat at 700‹-975‹ C. for #¢hr., (b) cool to <300‹ C. at >550‹ C./hr., (c) optionally cold-roll with annealing at 250‹-550‹ C. between passes, and (d) heat at 350‹-550‹ C. for # 1 hr. In a modification, step (d) is followed by cold-rolling and then annealing at 250‹-550‹ C.
