Abstract

1,194,487. Steaming and ironing apparatus. G. REBISCOUL. 25 April, 1968 [5 May, 1967], No. 19715/68. Heading D1A. Garments to be ironed are fitted on a dummy of porous and yielding fabric to which steam and hot air are supplied from means by which it is suspended freely. A fan casing is secured to the ceiling or other overhead support and' carries a frame 9 enclosing air heating and steam-injecting means 10 with a revolvable connection 13 on its base for dummies of various neck sizes. Means 10 comprise a large diameter tube 14 fed at 15 with steam from a boiler which passes on to container 17 with two outlets passing respectively through tube 14 to ejector 19 and through heat exchanger 23 for heating the air to a drain.
