Abstract

1,193,472. Xerographic plates. RANK XEROX Ltd. 1 May, 1967 [2 May, 1966], No. 20137/67. Heading H1K. [Also in Divisions C7 and G2] Xerographic plates have a photo-conductive vitreous arsenic-selenium alloy layer containing up to 50% arsenic coated on a conductive substrate, e.g. aluminium, brass, stainless steel or conductively coated plastic or glass. Specified As-Se alloys contain 17, 20, 33 and 50% As. The plates are made by fusing arsenic and selenium together at 750-900‹ F. and vacuum depositing the mixture on to the support.
