Abstract

1,185,389. Coating by vapour deposition. RANK XEROX Ltd. July 18, 1967 [ July 20, 1966], No. 32865/67. Headings C7A and C7F. [Also in Divisions H1] Vitreous antimony-selenium alloys are disclosed having the composition range 5-21 wt % Sb, together with specific compositions containing 1À5, 3, 10, 13, 14, 17, 20 and 21 wt % Sb. The alloy may be deposited by evaporation on a sheet of brass, Pt, Au, Al, steel, metallized paper, plastic coated with Al or copper iodide, or glass coated with SnO or Cr. The constituents of the alloy may be mixed before evaporation and flash evaporated on to the support or they may be evaporated from separate sources.
