An intake conduit 6 is coated with a synthetic resin 10, e.g. P.T.F.E., to prevent accummulation of fuel particles. The coating may be only on the conduit 6 between the carburetter and cylinder head or over the whole conduit including the portion 3 in the cylinder head.
