Daraus resultiert beim Gasgeben und insbesondere bei Vollgas eine vorteilhafte Wirkung im Sinne einer stetigen Veränderung der Motorleistung. Im konischen Abschnitt 8 des Trichters, jedoch unmittelbar hinter dem Lufteintrittsende 4, sitzt eine scheibenförmige Drosselklappe 10, deren Welle 12 in zwei fluchtenden Bohrungen 14 drehbar gelagert ist. Die Drehachse 16 der Drosselklappe 10 schneidet die Trichterlängsachse 18 senkrecht. Auf der Außenseite des Ansaugtrichters ist an dessen konischen Abschnitt 8 direkt hinter der Drosselklappe 10 ein Halter 20 für eine nicht dargestellte einschraubbare Einspritzdüse angeformt.
