[Also in Division C7] An alloy for making electrical contacts consists, by weight of CdO 1-20%, Ru or Hg 0À001-0À5%; Ag and impurities-balance. In one form of contact, strips 7 of the alloy are bonded to Ag layers 9, which are then bonded through solder layer 11 to metal strip 13 of, e.g. brass, beryllium copper or phosphor bronze.
