Abstract

1,189,332. Dispensing liquids. VEEDERROOT Ltd. 22 March, 1968 [2 March, 1967], No. 9898/67. Heading A4T. In a liquid, e.g. fuel, dispenser for delivering one or other of two fuels each having a separate flow line 9, 10 with pump 3, 4, and flow meter 7, 8 having their output shafts 18, 19 connected through variators 20, 21 and differentials to a cost register 28 and quantity register 36, switch means is connected between the pumps to select delivery from one or other of the pumps. The switch may be controlled manually or indirectly via electrical or fluid-operated means and may comprise the electrical switch 37 energizing one or other pump motor 16, 17, or shut-off valves in pump outlets 9, 10 controlled by a selector valve. The delivery may be through one or other of two discrete hoses 50, 51 or a double hose 49, 48 having a common nozzle 15. The switch means may be a hydraulic or pneumatic in which a selector valve controls shut-off valves in the pump outlets.
