A device for dispensing measured quantities of liquid, such as beer, comprises a pair of inflatable resilient bags 15, 16 mounted within a container 10 and connected with conduits 13, 14 respectively. The container 10, which may be of stainless steel, is made from two parts 11, 12 screwed together so that the volume of the container may be varied by partially unscrewing the portion 12 or vice versa. In operation, the conduit 13 may be connected to a pressurized supply of beer and the conduit 14 to a dispensing tap and, by opening a valve, the bag 15 is filled with beer and expands into contact with the interior of the container thereby deflating the bag 16. By reversing the position of the valve, beer is fed into the deflated bag 16 thus causing the beer in the bag 15 to be dispensed. In an alternative arrangement using two devices, Fig. 2 (not shown), the bags 17, 18 are interconnected by a pipe having a throttle valve 19, the bag 18 being filled with a liquid such as water. Beer is then fed into the bag 21 thereby causing the water to be forced through the valve 19 into the bag 17 and so dispense the beer in the bag 20. By adjusting the valve 19, the speed at which the water passes from one bag to another may be varied thereby controlling the degree of froth formed.
