1,022,104. Delivering measured quantities of liquid. MACKIE & CARNEGIE (BARFITTERS) Ltd. June 12, 1964 [June 13, 1963], No. 23575/63. Heading B8N. A device for dispensing measured quantities of liquid, such as beer, comprises a resilient bag 13 mounted in a container 10, and first and second conduits 12, 11 communicating with the interiors of the bag and container respectively. The container, which may be of stainless steel, or a synthetic plastic material, is formed in two portions 14, 15, screwed together by means of a ring 18 so that by unscrewing the portion 15, the volume of the container can be increased. The conduits 11, 12 are connected by suitable valve means to a beer barrel and a dispensing top so that, in operation, when beer is fed into the bag, the conduit 11 is closed and the bag expands to the size of the container. By reversing the positions of the valves, the bag is connected to the dispensing tap and the interior of the container to the barrel.
