Abstract

1,111,522. Dispensing fluids by fluid pressure; diaphragm pumps and compressors. CHEMECH ENGINEERING Ltd. Dec.22, 1965 [Jan. 6, 1965], No.543/65. Headings F1A, FiN and F1R. A vessel with a flexible bladder for use in a liquid or gas dispenser comprises a one-piece hollow glass body 10 having a bladder 15 clamped in one of a pair of oppositely located apertures by a member 18 extending through the aperture into the bladder. Fluid under pressure from a reservoir 29 is alternately discharged from the vessels 10 and 11 through a valve 33 and outlet 32 by supplying pressure fluid, e.g. gas, alternately to the bladders 15 under the control of a valve 21. The valve 21 may be electrically, pneumatically or mechanically actuated. A counter may be provided to indicate the quantity of liquid dispensed. The volume of fluid accommodated in the vessels may be adjusted by means of insertions in the bladders.
