1346826 Fluid dispensing apparatus G D ROBINSON Jnr and C B CHRISTY 12 July 1971 [13 July 1970] 32522/71 Heading A4T Apparatus dispensing individual ones or blends of two or more fluids in predetermined ratios comprises pumps 16, 22 delivering fuels A, B to meters 38, 40, there being pressure equalising valve devices 32, 82 before and after the meters, the fuels then being led by separate or concentric pipes to a common nozzle 14 and the meters being inter-connected at 102, 103 to a change-speed gearing 96 whereby the ratio of the fuels may be varied at 138 by clutching into different gear sets which are interchangeable. The pressure equalising is achieved by a piston responsive on respective sides to the fuel pressures in the two lines, one piston before and one after the meters, and operating piston valves in each line, either valve stopping flow on exhaustion of one of the fluid supplies. The blend control gearing 96 acts through an adding differential on a price computer 176, a total gallonage via summing differential 99, a total price, a price per gallon and a product indicator 196.
