Abstract

1,171,215. Valves junction pieces. NORTH THAMES GAS BOARD. 22 May, 1968 [26 May, 1967], No. 24644/67. Headings F2G and F2V] A multi-way connecting piece for gas supply lines has a rotary conical or cylindrical valve member 15 which, in the position shown, connects inlet 3 with a combined pressure governor and filter unit 20 via annular port 6. Return flow from unit 20 enters port 7 and passes through passage 27 in the valve member to annular port 9 feeding meter 21. Return flow from the meter enters port 10 and passes through passage 28 in the valve member to outlet 13. Rotation of the valve member shuts off inlet 3 and passages 26, 28 bridge ports 6, 7 and 9, 10; the latter all being concentric. A pressure gauge can be fitted at 30. In a modification, an axially slidable cylindrical valve member is used.
