Abstract

1,187,127. Heat-treating aluminium bronze. AMPCO METAL Inc. Oct.19, 1967, No.47695/67. Heading C7A. An aluminium bronze alloy containing in percentage by weight Al 10 12 Ni 2 - 10 Fe 1 6 Cu balance with optionally 0À01% to 5% of manganese also present is solution treated within the range 1500‹ - 1850‹ F., quenched, and precipitation hardened within the range 800‹ -1050‹ F. The heat-treated alloy is particularly suitable for use in marine propellers, shafts and gears.
