Abstract

1,186,011. Winding threads. M. P. FONTELLAS. 5 June, 1967 [8 June, 1966], No. 25793/67. Heading D1D. Yarn is fed between two rollers 1 and 12, the roller 1 being automatically. lifted from the roller 12 if the yarn breaks. The roller 1 has two grooves containing rings 6 having a portion 10<SP>1</SP> of increasing diameter and the rings are bridged by a yarn guide 9. The yarn 13 is threaded so that it passes between the rollers 1, 12, around a guide 14, 17, between the rollers 1, 12 and finally over the guide 9 leaving the apparatus at 21. In use the tension of the yarn on the guide 9 keeps the rollers 1, 12 in contact but, when the yarn breaks the rings 6 are carried around with the roller 1 so that their larger portion 10<SP>1</SP> separates the roller 1 from the roller 12 so that its rotation ceases.
