Abstract

1,185,192. Pivoted windows; glazing. PERRY BROS. (HALL GREEN) Ltd. 22 March, 1968 [21 March, 1967], No. 13070/67. Headings E1J and E1R. A window unit particularly for caravans, boats or prefabricated buildings has a sash 22 pivoted at 25, 26 at its upper horizontal edge to a frame 25 to be secured to the wall surrounding the window opening, both frames comprising extruded aluminium frame members and each formed by one U-shaped member forming three sides of the frame and a fourth top member secured thereto, in the case of the sash, this top member comprising two slidably interconnected members viz a frame member 22 which slides into a hinge member 23 and both are prevented from relative sliding movement by e.g. a screw, not shown, passing transversely through the members 22, 23 so that on removal of the screw the framepart holding the pane 12 can be slid out from the hinge part 23 and the pane 12 renewed by disassembling corner members having limbs 32, 23 secured in the recesses of the H-section top member 22 and the sides of the single U-shaped member 20 where the limb 33 is clamped by a releasable screw 35.
