A single- or double-glazed sash or frame comprises metal members 1 each in the form of a hollow L-section, with an aperture along one side filled with a U-section member 4, the flange of the U-section being against, and being riveted or welded to flanges 3 lining the aperture. Panes of glass 8 may be attached to one or each double flange so formed, by flexible S-sectioned members 7, and the frame members may be reinforced, and joined together, by similar, but smaller members (Fig. 2, not shown).
