Abstract

1,184,855. Clamps. DRUCKMASCHINENWERK PLANETA VEB. 30 July, 1968, No. 36350/68. Heading E2B. A clamping device for fastening the end portions of a flexible printing plate on the forme cylinder of a printing machine comprises two clamping elements mounted in guides each clamping element including a clamping carrier 7 and a clamping bar 10 controlled by cams 9 mounted to rotate with bolt 8 in the clamping carrier. An end of a printing plate is clamped between surfaces 11, 12 of the clamping carrier and bar, the surfaces having corresponding grooves and ribs. Each clamping element is adjustably positioned longitudinally and laterally of the forme cylinder by two bolts at each end of each clamping element.
