1,125,296. Printing machines; impression surfaces. ADAMOVSKE STROJIRNY, NARODNI PODNIK. 21 Jan., 1966 [25 Jan., 1965], No. 2832/66. Heading B6C. A blanket cylinder 1, e.g. of an offset printing machine, has means for tensioning a pliable blanket thereon, the means comprising two bars supported rotatably in the side walls of the cylinder and orientated lengthwise of the cylinder parallel to its axis of rotation, each bar being adapted to receive one end of a blanket, one end of each bar being provided with a worm gear 3, 3<SP>1</SP> which is in engagement with a worm screw 6, 6<SP>1</SP> on a respective end of a bolt 5 rotatably mounted on one side wall of cylinder 1, the arrangement being such that rotation of bolt 5 rotates the bars in opposite directions.
