Abstract
1,183,880. Induction annealing strip. AKADEMIA GORNICZO-HUTNICZA. Oct. 31, 1967 [Oct.31, 1966], No.49527/67. Heading C7N. Metal or alloy strip is induction annealed in the form of a cylindrical hollow coil in which adjacent turns are in electrical contact and preferably secured against loosening. Annealing is preferably effected until the inner turns of the coil reach a predetermined temperature and an isothermal distribution of temperature is provided throughout the cross-section of the coil. Heating, or cooling of the heated coil, may be effected under an atmosphere of air or protective gas or vacuum.
