Anti-corrosion compositions for cables of Specification 1,145,980, comprising 40 to 90 weight per cent polybutene and/or a higher methacrylic acid ester; 0À5 to 7 weight per cent of a cold flow reducing additive and 10 to 60 weight per cent of a filler are modified by replacing 15 to 35 weight per cent, based on the composition, of the polybutene and/or methacrylic acid ester by bitumen. Specified cold flow reducing additives are natural and synthetic waxes, polyolefins and paraffins; and specified fillers are chalk, kaolin, talc, aerosil and fibrous fillers.
