Abstract
1,176,212. Agricultural pick-up vehicle. TEXAS INDUSTRIES Inc. 11 May, 1967 [2 June, 1966], No. 22028/67. Heading B8E. An agricultural trailer has a crop pick-up mechanism 23, a feeding mechanism 25 and a loading space, the floor 16, Fig. 2, of which has a portion inclined upwardly and rearwardly from the pick-up mechanism which portion merges into a horizontal portion at a level above the wheels 4. The pick-up mechanism is pivotally mounted at 18 and is supported by wheels 20 and has rotatable tines 21 operating through a stripper plate. The feed mechanism has tines 32 extending through scraper plates 38 and mounted on a tube 31 on a gear-wheel 29 and connected to the vehicle by connecting rods 35 so that on rotation of the wheels 29 the tines follow the path 42. The crop is picked up and fed by the tines 21 over a plate 24 and then by the tines 42 to the floor 16 along which it conveyed by a chain conveyer 8 which has a run on either side of the floor 16 and which is guided where the floor inclinationchanges by guide plates 14, 15 or in a modification by a guide roller.
