1,236,266. Trimming material on endless conveyers. J. GASSNER Jun., J. GASSNER, and B. GASSNER. 13 Sept., 1968 [14 Sept., 1967], No. 43619/68. Heading B8A. The amount of straw or hay &c. discharged from an endless pick-up conveyer 3 to a conveyer 2 is controlled by a series of prongs 5 mounted above the conveyer 3 to pivot about a shaft 6, the free end of the prongs is bent such that when the main portion of a prong is normal to the conveyer 3 its tip extends upstream parallel to the direction of conveyance. The shaft 6 is mounted on adjustable arms 18, 19, whereby the spacing of the prongs from the conveyer 3 may be adjusted and is pivoted through linkage 9, 10 driven from the conveyer drive unit.
