Abstract
1,090,845. Agricultural pick-up vehicles; endless conveyers. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. May 14, 1965 [May 27, 1964], No. 20596/65. Headings B8A and B8E. A combined pick-up and feeding mechanism is adapted to be raised and lowered on parallel links 9, 10 at the front of an agricultural trailer 1 by a rope and pulley mechanism 44, 46. The pick-up device 14 comprises rows 15 of tines on a rotatable shaft 13 adapted to pick up crops and conveyer them along laterally spaced strips 25 into the path of rows 27 of tines of the feeding device 17. Each row 27 of tines is fastened to two brackets 29, each of which is pivotally connected at 30, 31 to a corresponding endless chain 18. The tines 27 feed the crops up the strips 25, through an opening 34 in the front wall of the trailer on to the endless conveyer 6 forming the floor of the trailer. The pick-up and feeding devices are driven, through endless rope and pulley mechanisms, Fig. 2 (not shown), from a gear-box 42 adapted to be coupled to the power take-off shaft of a towing tractor.
