Abstract
1,172,254. Inductors; transformers. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 28 April, 1967 [30 April, 1966], No. 19777/67. Heading HIT. An inductive winding (1) (Fig. 1, not shown), whose turns lie in one plane, is shielded by at least one short-circuited turn (2) surrounding but not in electrical contact with the turns of the winding. Another embodiment (Fig. 3) provides two or more coupled inductive windings having turns in one plane and similarly shielded by at least one short-circuited turn 2 surrounding but not in electrical contact with the windings. All windings including the shielding turns may be produced simultaneously by depositing thin or thick films on an insulating substrate or by printing. The shielding turn may be earthed or connected to similar shielding turns. The construction shown may constitute a band-pass filter or high-frequency transformer.
