Abstract
1,015,530. Transformers; circuit assemblies. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 27, 1964, No. 48302/64. Headings H1R and H1T. A variable high-frequency inductance or transformer comprises a coil 6 wound around at least two tubular formers 1, 2 and a printed circuit board 3 with a timing slug in the bore of each former. The printed circuit board 3 is provided with projections 4 which provide a gap in the windings and printed connections for tapping points or winding ends and an extra slug 12 (Fig. 2, not shown), may be provided in the bore of one former to vary the mutual coupling. In an alternative arrangement two separate windings may be provided around the formers and panel 3. Other components 9 (Fig. 2, not shown), may be mounted on the limbs of the circuit board. Tabs 8 for external connections are provided.
