Abstract
1,166,415. Aluminium alloys. FURUKAWA DENKI KOGYO K.K. March 13, 1968 [April 8, 1967], No.12256/68. Heading C7A. Aluminium alloys for electric conductors consist, by weight, of Mg 0À02 -2% Rare earth metal(s) 0À04 to less than 0À6% Al balance. The following impurity elements should not exceed the stated proportions:- Cu 0À5% Si 0À6% Fe 0À6% Zn 0À2% Mn 0À1%. Details are given of fabrication by continuous casting and rolling, and by rolling using large ingots. The alloys may be used as transmission and distribution lines, as windings for transformers and dynamoelectric machines, and as bus-bars for high temperature applications.
