Abstract

1,165,657. Electric incandescent lamp. PATENT-TKEUHAND F œR ELEKTRISCHE G.m.b.H. 12 June, 1968 [19 June, 1967], No. 27882/68. Heading H1F. In a halogen containing incandescent lamp having strip conductors sealed into a pinch in the lamp envelope and a coil filament whose straight ends are secured to the strips, the strips project into the interior of the lamp and the ends are taken along the surface of the strips and connected thereto. Two molybdenum pins 13 and 14 are welded to molybdenum foils 4 and 5. The ends 9 and 10 of filament 8 are welded to the foils using a platinum foil or paste. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) the ends of foils 4 and 5 are curved and wrapped around the straight ends of the filament. A quartz or hard glass envelope 1 with an iodine filling is provided for the lamp.
