Abstract
116,164. Garner, H., Garner, J. P., and Parker, W. J. June 11, 1917. Endless-track vehicles.-Each track frame 1 consists of upper and lower girders connected to the chassis by a pivot 3 and is connected at the front and rear to the track frame on the other side of the vehicle by transverse members pivoted centrally to the chassis. Each end of the track frame is provided with vertically sliding members 13 which move in guides 12 secured to a transverse member 10 of the chassis frame. A spring 14 is connected centrally by a pivot 15 to the member 10 and at its ends is connected by double shackles 16 to the track frames. The spring 14 may be replaced by a rigid beam, but in this case springs may be placed between the ends of the beam and the track frames, or between the track frames and the chassis frame'. Rubber buffers 21 may be provided for absorbing shock.
