116,082. Julian, P. May 10, 1917, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Drawings to Specification. Spray carburettors.-The air passage around the nozzle is varied by manually-actuated means which may comprise (1) a sliding sleeve the lower edge of which brings concentric choke-tubes into action in succession, (2) a cone sliding over the nozzle in the air inlet; or (3) a deformable cone consisting of a number of overlapping flexible strips the diameter of the orifice produced by which is varied by a ring bearing on the strips. The fuel nozzle is surrounded by a concentric thin-walled casing through which air is drawn to facilitate the spraying of the fuel.
