An alloy consists, in percent by weight, of Cu and impurities - balance The following impurities are mentioned and should not exceed the amount stated:- The alloy possesses high yield strength when air-cooled from annealing, hot-working and welding temperatures, e.g. 900‹-1090‹C. Products which may be made from the alloy include piping for sea-water, heat exchangers, stills, condensers, and containers resistant to alkali corrosion.
