In a pressure or temperature indicating device in which a diaphragm 32 is arranged in a chamber in communication with a fluid passage 30 and movement of the diaphragm 32 is transmitted to a movable indicator 92 by a mark in transfer device the mark in transfer device comprises a plate 58 which extends across and parallel to the diaphragm 32 and is secured at one end, by screws 70, to the diaphragm housing 38 and at the other end is adjusted, relative to the diaphragm 32, by a screw 72, and carries a cranked form 84 rotated by a projection 50, provided on the diaphragm 32, to move the pointer 92 by an arm 90 engaging a member 106. In the temperature indicating embodiment the passage 30 is connected to a tube provided at its end with a bulb filled with a chemical such as methyl chloride.
