Abstract

1,155,773. Pipe brackets. BARTOL PLASTICS Ltd. 7 July, 1967, No. 31298/67. Heading A4B. [Also in Division E2] A pipe clip comprises a moulding having a base with at least one hole 2 for a screw for fixing the clip to a wall and a flexible strip 5 integral with and extending from one side of the base 3 for encircling a pipe, the free end portion of the strip having an enlargement 6 to engage in a recess in the other side of the base whereby the pipe when encircled by the strip cannot be pulled away from the base, the recess being a slot 8 extending parallel to the width of the strip and open only at one end. In the construction shown the clip is made of a synthetic plastics material and the base is of generally U-section with the strip extending from one arm 4 of the U and with the slot in the other arm 7. The base is stiffened by a web 9 which also functions to close the slot 8.
