Abstract

1,153,837. Gutter brackets. MONSANTO CO. 17 Nov., 1967 [18 Nov., 1966], No. 52369/67. Heading A4B. A gutter bracket comprises a primary part 10, with downturned tab 15 at one end for securing to a fascia board 17 and an upturned outer end 12 for engaging in the reversely bent outer edge 14 of a gutter 9, and a slidable part 20 having an upturned rear end for engaging in the inverted U-shaped rear edge 18 of the gutter 9. A locking screw 19 is slidable along a slot in the primary part 10 and carries a slidable part 20. To fit the gutter 9 its outer edge 14 is engaged over the end 12 of the bracket before rotating the gutter 9 upwardly to its operative position in which the movable part 20 is slid into engagement with the rear edge 18. The primary part 10 has a reinforcing rib 11 and its tab 15 is preformed with fixing holes (16).
