1,153,629. Ladle nozzles. FOSECO INTERNATIONAL Ltd. 23 Nov., 1967 [9 Dec., 1966], No. 55267/66. Heading F4B. A stopper rod guide which extends upwards from the floor 1 of a refractory lined metal ladle and is situated over the pouring aperture of said ladle, comprises a hollow refractory sleeve 2 in the walls of which are apertures 3, 4 and 5, said sleeve receiving a cylindrical stopper rod 6 which seals the apertures when inserted into the sleeve as far as a constriction 7 and can uncover said apertures without emerging from the top of said sleeve 2.
