The rigid side frames 7, 8, 9 of a collapsible wheel chair are connected together by two pairs of links at front and rear, each pair comprising upper links 13 and lower links 14 pivoted to the side frames and interconnected at the centre by a vertical link 15. Spring-urged catches 17 engage pins 16 on the links 13 to retain the chair in its erected condition.
