Abstract

1,150,365. Palletized containers. J. YAILLANT and F. REMESY. 27 Sept., 1967 [29 June, 1967], No. 44007/67. Heading B8H. A container 1, Fig. 1, for the transportation of liquids, comprises a cylindrical tank 2 with convex ends 3. Three pairs of reinforcement rings 5, 6; 9, 10 and 15, 16 are provided. Frames 7, 8 are connected, respectively, to the rings 5, 6 and by struts 11 to 14 to the rings 9, 10. Recesses for a fork of a fork-lift apparatus are provided by recesses 17, 18, extending over the entire width of the container. Stay plates 19, 20 are welded to the back of the rings 15, 16. The tank 2 is protected from accidental contact with the fork by a shield 21. In a modification, Fig. 5, the tank can be covered by an insulating cover 52 placed on the rings so as to form chambers 53 into which a hot fluid from a tube 55 can be injected through orifices 56. The container may alternatively be lifted by upper or lower corner pieces 32 to 35 in the frames 7, 8. The containers may be stacked six-high. A ladder 26 and platform 27 give access to filling orifices 24 and a discharge valve 25 is provided (several if the container is compartmented).
