Abstract

1,145,809. Boots &c. DESMA-WERKE G.m.b.H. 2 Jan., 1968 [7 March, 1967], No. 215/68. Addition to 1,126,535. Heading A3B. The injection moulded sole 12 of the parent Specification in which the foam layer 13 is completely surrounded by a layer 14 of firm homogeneous, elastic material, is modified by varying the thickness of the layer 14 to provide reinforcement at the toe 14a and/or heel 14b and/or tread 14c. The tread reinforcements 14c may be in the form of ribs or studs. The heel may be provided with stiffening webs (not shown) integral with the layer 14 or a filler block (not shown) of cork or felt may be provided in the heel.
