A shoe of -the type having a multilayered sole 11 of rubber or synthetic plastics material which is injection moulded on to the upper 10 in two stages has an intermediate sole 12 of relatively hard material which is resistant to mechanical stresses and an outer sole 13 of relatively soft abrasion-resistant material. The intermediate sole 12 is formed with a welt 12a and is preferably a different colour to the outer sole 13.
