The subject matter of this specification forms part of that described in Specification 1243653 but the claims relate to a sole for an article of footwear consisting of a sole body member and a cover layer adhered to at least part of the upper surface of the sole body member, the sole body member being a one-piece moulding of thermoplastic synthetic resin material having a foamed interior surrounded by a non foamed outer layer, the upper surface of the sole body member being shaped substantially in conformity with the profile of the sole of a user's foot.
