Abstract

1,111,285. Boots &c. C. & J. CLARK Ltd. 28 Sept., 1966 [28 June, 1965], No. 27357/65. Heading A3B. A combined shank stiffener 2 and heel filler 1 for use in shoes having a moulded sole and heel unit (not shown) is formed as a single unit by a moulding operation e.g. by injection moulding plastics material. The unit is provided with projections 4 which register with holes in an insole 5 to locate the unit in relation to the insole 5. The shank stiffener 2 has a widened end 3.
