1,144,395. Drying webs. DRUCKMASCHINENWERK PLANETA VEB. 18 May, 1967, No. 23039/67. Heading F4G. A suspension drier for material in web form, e.g. paper and cellulose, comprises nozzle boxes, the gaseous medium from which both introduces the web into and also guides the web through the drier and at the inlet to the drier a pair of introduction nozzles are provided which issue a gaseous medium at a greater rate or velocity than the nozzle boxes so that the web is conveyed into and through the drier by blowing in the gaseous medium which is used both as a drying agent and as a conveying and guiding means. The nozzle boxes may be provided above and below the web and mounted on slide plates so as to be removable without dismantling.
